Cardiology to Diving Medicine...

I am an interventional cardiologist in Toledo, Ohio. I am especially interested in vascular medicine and peripheral vascular diseases. I have been diving since 1983, but really became heavily involved over the last few years. I am a Diving Instructor (AOWI) and teach several private classes a year. I am currently working on mixed gas certification.

I rediscovered diving thanks to my kids. I now have 4 of the 5 certified in SCUBA. I became involved in several different diving medical courses over the last few years and recently began to take call for our hyperbaric chamber here in Toledo. I have found that there is a natural synergy between diving and hyperbaric medicine with cardiology and vascular medicine. I have expanded my practice to see recreational divers with medical problems who made need advice on diving with their conditions. I would like to see the benefits of HBO being offered to more patients in the NW Ohio area and hope to be able to provide more local education to the medical community.
